About this product
The Miele Guard M1 Cat & Dog is designed to handle homes with pets, combining serious suction power with an Active AirClean filter that neutralises unpleasant odours. The included Pet TurboBrush tackles stubborn pet hair and ground-in dirt on carpets and upholstery, while the adjustable floorhead switches easily between carpets, hard floors, and rugs. At 7.2kg, it's a cylinder vacuum with a 4.5l dustbag capacity, and the dustbag full indicator lets you know when it's time to replace it.
Four adjustable power levels let you match suction to the surface, and the 8.5m cord plus 2m hose provide plenty of reach without unplugging. The Comfort Handle 2.0 makes manoeuvring easy, and the foot-operated cord rewind keeps things tidy. It includes a crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, dusting brush, turbo brush, and combination floor nozzle, all stored via the Vario clip system. The AirClean filter and odour-neutralising system help with pet mess. It runs at about 76 decibels and is built to last 20 years. Works on carpets, hard floors, rugs, upholstery and stairs.

I bought this to replace a vacuum cleaner which broke under warranty and I did not wish to replace with the same poor quality. I chose this one because I used to have one before which lasted for ages because it was so well made. This one looks up to the task and has been great so far - easy to use and store and a voucher for a free pack of bags was very welcome! I’m glad I chose this well-made model - the cheaper ones are just a false economy.
