Strong and roomy.
I bought this for my anxious, elderly cat before a visit to the vet. It allowed him much more room to move and was not only easy to assemble, but also sturdy.

A bird's-eye view!!
I bought this carrier to transport an injured pigeon,mainly to and from the vets.I think he felt quite safe and he had an all round view without being on view himself.Slightly awkward getting him out but didn't leave him a lot of wriggle room to escape.As it had an opening door at one end,it was easier to secure him,in comparison to smaller carriers from which the lid had to be removed completely to enable the bird to be removed or placed in the carrier which allowed a good opportunity for any escape artist.It's easy to clean and lightweight and I imagine any similarly sized animal would feel secure and comfortable.All round ventilation and vision good.I felt the price was reasonable.He's off to a disabled pigeon sanctuary tomorrow,to be safe for the rest of his life.The shape and moulded plastic used would render it quite robust and protective!!

Brilliant purchase
Nice and secure cat carrier. Our cat escaped from our old carrier which had a plastic door on the way to the vet, so purchased this one with a metal door. My cat doesnt stand a chance of escaping from this one. Its so secure. My cat is a pretty large moggy, and there is plenty of room in here for him

Well designed and made of good materials. Well ventilated. Door closes securely and opens easily. A blanket is needed in the bottom for physical comfort but that is a sensible thing to do anyway as having something with their scent on it will reduce a cat's anxiety anxiety.

Very sturdy construction after the nuts & bolts (that were supplied) installed. Good size for average cat, but if your feline is large get the larger size. Good strong latch on the door. Needs a cushion pad for extra comfort.

Based on these measurements, please see the assessment below:
For two small adult cats (2–3 kg each, with a strong bond):
Suitable for short-term travel. However, for longer journeys, caution is advised due to limited space.
For two medium to large adult cats (over 3 kg each):
Not recommended. The confined space may cause discomfort and stress during transport.

Maybe could accommodate 2 small kittens but better for only one medium to large sized cat. I like this carrier as it has screws which keeps it very solid and the vet likes it as they can access it from above as well as the front!
Which is better if your cat gets stressed and lashes out with either nails or teeth...

You'll be able to reduce the height by taking the top of and turning it over into the bottom, but it won't flat pack.

The recommendation is that pets should be able to stand and sit, turn around normally and lie down in a natural position in their carrier without touching the sides or top of the carrier. If they are unable to do this then the carrier would be unsuitable.
Hello Beth. The Large Pet Carrier is suitable for carrying small to large sized cats, small dogs and other small animals. As all animals vary in size, even as puppies, we would not be able to recommend a specific purchase. However, the size and measurements of the carrier should be assessed for comfort based on the size of your individual pet. The measurements are H33, W38.7, D58.4cm. I hope this helps.
