About this product
The Heathdon Ottoman Bed helps you sleep well and store more without taking extra floor space. It's an upholstered kingsize frame with hidden storage beneath the mattress base, ideal for spare bedding, seasonal clothes, or things you don't need every day. The ottoman base lifts from the foot end using easy-lift pistons, so you can access 680 litres of storage without straining. A soft fabric upholstery wraps the frame, and the padded headboard provides comfortable support for sitting up to read or watch television.
The sprung wooden slats beneath the mattress allow airflow to reduce moisture build-up and support your mattress evenly. The lift mechanism operates smoothly while you retrieve or store items. It fits neatly against a wall in compact or standard bedrooms. Supplied flat-packed with all fixings and clear instructions for assembly by two people.

good but assembly instructions need improvement
It's decent, but the instructions for assembly could be MUCH clearer in terms of which way the poles and parts go, too many times I assembled without realising, oh these holes should be on the other side which meant taking apart and putting back together again. As for the ottoman mechanism its sturdy but also a bit more difficult to lift and open compared to my previous one, hopefully this one stays intact and the mechanism doesn't damage the wood to the point of it breaking.

Looks good, flawed design
I bought two of these beds from Argos. Assembly wasn’t straightforward due to poor instructions. On the second bed, the gas-lift springs up too abruptly, so you need to be careful when opening it. The ottoman storage is disappointing- the base is just a Velcro sheet, so anything stored inside sits directly on the floor rather than in a proper compartment. The headboard is also fixed to the frame, making it awkward to move between rooms. That said, it does look nice once assembled, but overall the quality and design fall short. Make sure you get good quality mattress.

Check your parts
Im only giving it a 3 as screws bolts and slats were missing, sent slats and wrong bolts first time eventually got bolts so 2 weeks after recieving could sleep on it, easy to put up good storage
