About this product
The Habitat Zander Tall Textured Bookcase keeps all your reading sorted and on display, whatever space you're working with. It's built for book lovers who want something that looks good and holds plenty. You've got four adjustable shelves above that let you store everything from small paperbacks to tall hardbacks. The white textured finish gives it a bit of character, while oak-effect legs add warmth and keep it lifted off the floor. There's a cupboard below with another adjustable shelf inside for hiding away bits you don't want on show.
The push-to-open cupboard doors keep the front clean and smooth, no handles to catch on as you walk past. The contrasting legs and finish work together in most living rooms or home offices without clashing. It's tall enough to use your wall space well without taking over the floor. The oak-effect legs spread the weight evenly and make hoovering underneath easy. The closed cupboard storage gives you flexibility to mix displayed items with things you'd rather keep tucked away.

Good looking
Very happy with product as it looks great, only down side is the parts are not numbered so trying to find the correct size part on the instructions is a little confusing. But still happy with it

Not bad - took long time to put together 2 items from range. Sturdy but door alignment may need adjusting a bit if floor even slightly uneven (seems to be a bit of flex). But generally good quality fittings and ‘wood’.

Great storage unit!
Bought this a few days ago. I built it myself. It was a challenge getting the backboard in place but the rest was plain sailing. I like the finished product and it is a great storage unit.

Disappointed
After lugging about 52 kg worth of bits upstairs to build my bookcase, I was ready to start building... Unfortunately I then found that 16 screws were missing from the fittings bags, and one of the MDF side supports was partially split all along the length where the dowel holes had been drilled. Very poor quality control. The customer service chat was helpful, if a bit slow, but I now have to wait 4 weeks for my missing/replacement parts. I just hope that when its built it will be worth it... But some of the reviews make me worry. I'm quite relieved I bought in the sale and not at full price!

Sturdy bookcase
This bookcase is really good quality and very sturdy. I was impressed with how roomy the cupboard is because it looks quite small in the photos. However, it took a long time to assemble because the instructions are so confusing

Nice design but a challenge to assemble
Other reviews had said this was difficult to assemble, and they weren't wrong. Two main points that future buyers need to be aware of (1) I could only connect the hinges by taking them all off the side panels, joining them and screwing them back in and (2) do look a few steps ahead at the start, trying to turn the whole assembly over when it was a loosely connected H shape was difficult - it'd have been better to build it the other way up (read the instructions and you'll see what I mean!). Still recommended, but do know what you're letting yourself in for.
