Bad quality
Bad quality waste of money
Harsh
Quality tarpaulin from Argos.
I purchased this tarpaulin to replace an alleged untearable cover which ripped after strong winds covering our garden furniture. The quality of the replacement is far too superior to our old one and now withstands the wind and rain. It is also much heavier than our old one, and much cheaper.

Great value
Good value and exactly as described

Good
I've bought these Tarpaulins for a number of year, they're large and cover a decent sized area. They're waterproof and provide protection over the winter months. Strong sunlight tends to break down the plastic and weaken them making them prone to rip. They tend to last a couple of years so only really a temporary solution. They come without a securing rope.

Does what it says on the cover
Have been using it ever since I bought it. It has stood the test of these major weather storms we have had lately in NI. Great product

Solid item - just as described
Probably can’t go wrong with tarp but I wa pleases with my purchase. I bought three to literally cover the front of a three story house … it didn’t fully cover but it covered the parts affected by scaffolding so it did the trick.. sturdy stuff with solid eyelets for cable ties or whatever you use.

Just 2 parts and 1 was missing
Fully sealed bag stating contents 1 tarpaulin sheet and roping for securing down. Sheet was just the job but the roping was not in the pack. Not worth the journey to return so bought a washing line elsewhere. Just very disappointing and very inconvenient. Check your stock Argos!

Hello Hbob,
The supplier has advised the following for the 3.4m x 5.2m Tarpaulin:
“ We cannot recommend it, as the product is not designed with this use in mind.
There would be no protection from any sharp stones or objects beneath.”
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hello Tank,
3.4m x 5.2m Tarpaulin
Depending on the size of the two man tent, this could cover it.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello MoNique.
The 3.4m x 5.2m tarpaulin is not specifically designed to be used as a ground sheet under a pool. While it is tear-resistant under normal conditions, placing a heavy pool on it—especially over uneven ground with sharp stones—could cause damage.
It’s also important to note that this tarpaulin cannot be guaranteed to protect your pool from punctures or wear.
Additionally, because it is waterproof, any water spillage may collect on the surface, potentially creating a slip hazard.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello GC,
The supplier has advised the following for the 3.4m x 5.2m Tarpaulin:
The tarpaulin is “soft” so the thickness will, to a degree, vary a little. Its density is100g/㎡, the thickness is around 0.1mm.
Thank you for using Q&A.

Thanks for using Argos Q&A
Hello there,
This tarpaulin does not include any rope or string.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
Hi Dee,
A tarp can be used when camping, all the same safety precautions would apply in regards to placement as the tarp is made from polyethylene, as the Tarp has eyelets for tying it over items is possible for ground water to enter the tarp area if not on dry ground, which may have the opposite effect to what you are seeking.
There are camping websites that offer hints and tips if using a Tarp while camping, I would suggest checking these out prior to purchase.
Hope this helps and thank you for using Argos Q&A.
Hi,
Sorry, the Tarpaulin is unable to be used as a membrane for a gravel path, this would get water logged. The tarpaulin is designed as a source of shelter for products.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A
