We contacted Argos Customer Services before purchase to ask if the top shelf was real oak or just an oak finish. We were told it was definitely real oak. It isn't. We ordered two and were disappointed.

Easy assembly with an allen key provided. Very sturdy when together. Plenty of room for shoes and walking boots. The wooden shelf finishes the rack off.
