Brilliant product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Russell Hobbs Diamond Elite Iron is really powerful and makes ironing much quicker. The steam output is strong enough to tackle heavy fabrics, and the large water tank means I don’t have to refill as often. I like the smooth soleplate – it glides well and doesn’t catch on clothes. The vertical steam is also handy for freshening up shirts on hangers. It is a little heavier than I expected, so it can feel tiring if you iron for a long time, but overall it feels solid and well-made. For the price, it’s a reliable iron with plenty of useful features.

RH - Diamond “Elite” Steam Iron 27000
I bought this particular iron because I thought it would meet my expectations. Originally, air was disappointed because it was heavy to handle and the ceramic sole plate kept sticking to the clothes making them static so it is not good with delicate fabrics (3*). However, I have got more used to it now. It doesn’t all spill out on cooling which is a great plus and is great on cotton items like Sheets, Jeans and Shirts so I’ve increased my rating (4*).

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Russell Hobbs Diamond Elite Steam Iron 27000.
No this does not have this feature. The main way to stop clothes from going shiny is to use a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric to diffuse heat and prevent direct pressure on the fibres. Other techniques include ironing on the wrong side of the garment, using the correct temperature setting, and using steam to soften fibres before ironing.

“ For steam ironing, the temperature control needs to be set to the steam symbol or higher, and on the dial of the Diamond Elite Iron that means the max 3 dotted setting. Ergo, no the steam will not function on a lower heat setting. ”

I agree with Beej42. This iron is heavier than the description says it is. I weighed it on my kitchen scales with the cord away from the scales, resting on the worktop alongside. It was 1.495kg.
I find it heavy, and hard on the wrist when tilting it back to stand it on its heel.
