Had this a few weeks now , And I must say I do like it , it as a good steam release , it heats up quickly and turns of automatically if left and not being used. It as a good long lead and the water tank hods a lot . The reason for 4 stars I found it to be. A little heavier than my previous irons but I can cope with that and also cus the tank is black it can be difficult to see the water level when filling up .

The iron is a little heavier and larger than I expected but I can cope with that, I couldn’t get it to steam initially but my husband suggested pushing the descaler switch and then it was fine, could be scale left after they tested it. It irons better than a previous iron I purchased from another well known company, just hope that it is reliable, hence the reason for 4 stars. The 3 metre cable is an added bonus, just wish they would supply a cable holder.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Russell Hobbs Diamond Elite Steam Iron 27000.
No this does not have this feature. The main way to stop clothes from going shiny is to use a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric to diffuse heat and prevent direct pressure on the fibres. Other techniques include ironing on the wrong side of the garment, using the correct temperature setting, and using steam to soften fibres before ironing.

“ For steam ironing, the temperature control needs to be set to the steam symbol or higher, and on the dial of the Diamond Elite Iron that means the max 3 dotted setting. Ergo, no the steam will not function on a lower heat setting. ”
