The Dreambaby Retractable gate provides a barrier for various widths and cleverly retracts back into itself when not in use. The gate can be used both indoors and outdoors, however should be brought inside during adverse weather conditions. Its strong, sturdy, durable structure and no trip hazard makes it ideal for stairs. The gate features our clever EZY-Check Indicator showing when the gate is locked or unlocked.

Brilliant product!
I bought this to replace a wooden stair gate that wasn’t ideal, and I’m so glad I did! It’s sturdy, easy to use, and fits perfectly in our space. I love how it rolls away neatly when not in use, keeping the area looking tidy. Click and collect straight away was super helpful too, and installation was really simple — would definitely recommend!

Poor Quality
I have a different brand gate of the exact same type. Been installed and in use for 12 months. It was cheaper and is brilliant and still functions perfect. This brands plastic is cheap. The fittings are bulky yet the way the gate attaches is flimsy. The locking mechanism is difficult to use. The worst part is the return mechanism that winds the mesh in has already weakened noticeably to the point that my child can get under it. Terrible

Probably great for children, cats can get under it
Easy to install gate, mine is attached to a wall on one side, bannister on the other. It works pretty well with high skirtings, you could move the bottom fixture if needed and drill a new hole if your skirtings are still too high. Is robust when locked and would most likely be great for children, I got mine to stop my 17-year-old cat from going down the stairs as she struggles to get back up but after three days she had worked out that the bottom of the gate is flexible and pops underneath! A pillow leaned against it seems to foil her escape plans for now!

Useful for our new puppy
With a new puppy joining the family, we needed to secure the bottom of our cottage stairs. A pressure type stair gate would not fit, so we opted for this pull out gate. It was relatively easy to fit and has the added attraction of preventing the puppy seeing the stairs and wanting to go up them.

This maybe works to keep children out of spaces however please be aware that dogs can go under it and that it may be a struggle to actually place it onto the wall
