About this product
The Gtech AirRam 2 is a cordless upright designed for pet owners and anyone tired of cables. Its patented AirLOC Technology picks up large debris forward and locks on the backstroke to remove embedded dirt and pet hair. The powered brush bar drives bristles into carpets to shift stubborn mess. Weighing 3.2kg, it's light to move around. You get up to 40 minutes on a 4-hour charge, and the removable 22V lithium-ion battery lets you charge it anywhere. The low-profile handle reaches under furniture, and the upper handle folds down for compact storage.
The 0.8l dustbin empties with a quick slide of the ejector arm, no mess or dust clouds, and the filter is washable so you're not buying replacements. It runs at around 75 decibels, which is quieter than most cordless uprights, and there's a low battery indicator so you're not caught out mid-clean. Works across carpets, deep pile, wool, hard floors, laminate and upholstery. The motorised floorhead handles everything from ground-in dirt to pet hair, and it glides easily from room to room without the faff of cables getting tangled or limiting your reach.

My first Gtech and I’m not disappointed.
I have a large corded vacuum and medium cordless vacuum but I like to use a smaller lightweight stick style vacuum cleaner 2~3 times a day to pick up small bits and debris. I decided to replace my stick vacuum with the Gtech air ram and I’m not disappointed. I have bought so many vacuum cleaners at all price points covering all the well known brands and this Gtech is really one of the best in terms of design, functionality and build quality. In my house I have a combination of different floor coverings and in most cases the stick vacuum cleaners just don’t cope but this Gtech is excellent. On hard floors it picks up cat biscuits and bigger debris instantly unlike my last vacuum cleaner which picked things up, rattled them around then spat them out or they would fall out when the vacuum cleaner was turned off. On our really deep pile rug it picks up debris trapped in the pile without having to repeatedly go over the same spot. I like the fact that the weight is at the bottom so it doesn’t feel heavy plus it stands on its own without risk of toppling over. The head is a bit bigger and less manoeuvrable so getting between the legs of dining chairs etc is more difficult. Unbelievably, the other thing that make it slightly less manoeuvrable is the fact that the suction is so strong it sucks itself to the floor making it harder to push - something I’ve never had an issue with before and I’m not complaining. It’s really easy to empty especially with the slider that pushes the debris out of the canister and the filter is easy to remove for cleaning. I haven’t tested the run time because most times I’m only using it for 5 mins max. but when it is being used, it is noticeably quieter than my previous cleaner. The only real downside of this Gtech air ram would be the fact that it is essentially designed for floors so if you needed a type of vacuum cleaner that had crevice tools and smaller brushes for car cleaning, upholstery or cleaning stairs etc.this would not be suitable. I’ve only had my Gtech for 3 days so only time will tell whether it is as good as I think it is.

Excellent product
I ordered my Air RAM 2 vacuum as it was recommended by friends. I needed a lightweight model as my conventional model had become too heavy. I was very impressed by the speed of delivery as it arrived next day as promised. It was easy to set up and did a great job of picking up all the dust and fluff which had accumulated during my recovery from hand surgery. It is so convenient being lightweight and cordless. I can definitely recommend it!

Wow what a surprise
Amazing suction for such a small hoover, quite good on my stairs too which surprised me, handle does feel a bit flimsy but seems ok, it's amazing what you find out when you read the instructions first lol, for the life of me I couldn't find the dirt container, it's actually in the cleaning head, it's not as noisy as my old shark cordless hoover, the running try time is more than adequate for doing both upstairs and downstairs, the dust container holds quite a lot of dust/dirt, very easy and hygienic to empty, I would definitely recommend it, especially to those like myself who have a disability 😊

The Vacuum can be used on hard floors so yes tiles will be fine. You can also check with the tile manufacturer if it is suitable.

This particular AirRam 2 doesn't have a handheld function and so vacuuming stairs may be awkward due to the size of the vacuum head.
