I bought this a month ago and I am so happy. Mainly used for cooking beans which it does very efficiently. No stand or basket as with our old aluminium cooker so cooking beans could be a bit more work. We just saved these and now use them in the new cooker. Gets to pressure quickly and is nice and shiny.

Having checked the instructions for the Prestige 4 Litre Smart Plus Pressure Cooker, this is showing that when the steam is releasing, it hisses rather than whistles. It advises 'when the steam is escaping at a steady rate the heat setting needs to be reduced until this becomes a gentle hiss'
