I bought this a few weeks ago when redecorating the lounge diner and I am so glad that I did. It really helped me with the cutting in at ceiling level. A great tool.

Smooth finish
Was so much easier and quicker than a roller. Took half the time and the finish is so much smoother. I ended up using less paint as the sponge holds so much. Brilliant purchase and will probably use it instead of a roller in the future

"The answer is yes, if using water-based emulsion, the pads can be washed in water and left to dry to be used again."

Paint pads are good at covering smooth to semi-smooth surfaces. They are not recommended for external walls as these tend to be too rough.

The size of the pads are approx. 10cm long and 21cm long
Yes they are suitable for decking oil too but it has to be put onto smooth wood as rough wood could rip up the foam.
In the picture, you can see the grey bristle part extends about 5mm out from the white plastic backing. If you trim that 5mm off, plus another 5mm, then the white plastic protrudes 5mm further than the grey bristles. This means while painting the wall, you can not get within 5mm of the ceiling. Ideally you paint the ceiling first, and the top of the wall with one colour. Then use your manufactured tool to do the walls. Not quite reaching the ceiling.
It certainly can be and the smaller of the two pads is useful for this purpose. The larger pad also makes this set suitable for painting walls. Other uses include painting window sills, trim, doors, and furniture.
