Dont be put off getting the effect you want by warnings about voiding the warranty, as of course we should know about that. Any surface should be paintable using the right product. A universal, all or multi-surface, paint will do it. These are solvent based so get some brush cleaner too. Rustoleum makes a good paint which doesnt need a primer. Alternatively, an ordinary gloss or satin paint on top of a special MDF primer should do it. A top coat of clear varnish can help seal against knocks.

The supplier has advised the following for the Home Nest of 2 Tables - Oak Effect :
The foil passes FIRA6250 testing and can resistance wet/dry heat up to 85οΎC.
But we will recommend adding coasters to the base.
