About this product
This nest of tables is designed to give you flexible surface space wherever you need it in your living room. Ideal for holding drinks, books or keeping essentials within reach while relaxing. The two tables tuck neatly together when not in use, so they don't take up unnecessary floor space. The natural oak-effect finish works well with a range of furniture styles. Part of the Apley collection, each table has a sturdy frame that supports everyday use. They're light enough to move around easily but stable enough for regular tasks.
The larger table stands at a comfortable height for sofas and armchairs, while the smaller table fits underneath or beside it. Smooth surfaces wipe clean quickly after spills or marks. Each table supports up to 12 kilogrammes, enough for lamps, plants or stacked magazines. Self-assembly required with two people recommended for easier setup. Comes with a manufacturer's one year guarantee.

Nice looking tables, pretty sturdy.Assembly was quite straight forward until fitting top of table to legs,it didn't line up very well, had to knock the dowels about to relieve the tops.

I bought this set of tables a couple of weeks ago. When I tried to make up the smaller one the holes on the table top did not match up with the dowels. Took back to Argos and got a refund.

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.

Dont be put off getting the effect you want by warnings about voiding the warranty, as of course we should know about that. Any surface should be paintable using the right product. A universal, all or multi-surface, paint will do it. These are solvent based so get some brush cleaner too. Rustoleum makes a good paint which doesnt need a primer. Alternatively, an ordinary gloss or satin paint on top of a special MDF primer should do it. A top coat of clear varnish can help seal against knocks.

The supplier has advised the following for the Home Nest of 2 Tables - Oak Effect :
The foil passes FIRA6250 testing and can resistance wet/dry heat up to 85οΎC.
But we will recommend adding coasters to the base.
