Cosy, durable lights suitable for use in a shop
We bought three of these lamps in October 2025 and they have worked very well for us being used 6 days every week in a shop. They provide a soft lighting that customers find cosy (cozy = US spelling). The uplighting element is broad but the additional 'child' lamp is very useful for highlighting specific products. The on/off switches are straight forward though it would have been useful to have some design on them so you know which is the 'father' switch and which is the 'child' switch. This is a minor point though.

Lampshades are plastic. Tbh it looks rather cheap. Hard to try and get level. Have got in the corner for now but intend buying a more expensive lamp. Would have returned but had opened and put together. Waste of money with the light bulbs. Would not recommend

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Father and Child Floor Lamp - Silver: I can confirm 60W and 40W means the traditional lamps. It is equivalent to LED 10W and 6W.
