I bought this and yet again something was missing the threaded bar, so after travelling to collect it, travel home and then find parts missing is very annoying and time and fuel wasted this is the 2nd time I have ordered something from Argos and had to return it due to parts missing

Does the job but for how long?
The first purchase was missing one of the shades but exchanging in store was easy. The lamp is not terribly robust but looks ok from a distance. Cable and switch are rather ‘dangly’ but the lamp does what we needed it to. Not sure how long it will last.

Cosy, durable lights suitable for use in a shop
We bought three of these lamps in October 2025 and they have worked very well for us being used 6 days every week in a shop. They provide a soft lighting that customers find cosy (cozy = US spelling). The uplighting element is broad but the additional 'child' lamp is very useful for highlighting specific products. The on/off switches are straight forward though it would have been useful to have some design on them so you know which is the 'father' switch and which is the 'child' switch. This is a minor point though.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Father and Child Floor Lamp - Silver: I can confirm 60W and 40W means the traditional lamps. It is equivalent to LED 10W and 6W.
