I bought thus on the recommendation of a family member. I am very pleased with its design and effectiveness. The adjustable charcoal level is very useful to generate more heat as required or lowered to simply keep food hot. The warming rack is very cleverly designed.

Bought this a week ago as we fancied a bbq in the nice weather. Got it on sale, set up easy enough. Heated up nice and quickly, food was done faster than we expected and was cooked lovely 🙂 easy to move about and great that it came with a cover and utensils, a lot of the cheaper bbqs dont! Overall happy with the purchase, can't comment on longevity though, hoping it lasts a few years with the right care 👍🏻

Excellent charcoal bbq for under £50.
Great simple charcoal bbq for under £50. Don’t really understand why people pay so much for a bbq. Charcoal gives great flavour to the food, the sliding grill means you can add more if needed. Wide enough to have 2 heat zones. The upper rack for keeping things warm or off the intense heat and the lid for even cook control. Excellent by all measures imho.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Drum Charcoal BBQ With Cover & Utensils: As with all charcoal BBQ’s – arrange charcoal on one side of the grill and add wood chips on the hot coals to produce smoke. Control the vents for airflow and maintain a temperature between 225°F and 250°F.

Hang the charcoal tray with the adjustable charcoal tray handle on the firebowl. The charcoal then goes on to the charcoal try. Please check out the video on the website, showing as picture number 2. This will give a better view on how to hang the tray.

It would be difficult to say how easy it is to clean the drum. It does state in the manual to make it easier to clean your Charcoal BBQ after use, line the firebowl with aluminium cooking
foil, shiney side up. Remember to leave ventilation holes clear by piercing the foil where necessary.
This process will lengthen the life of your Charcoal BBQ.
