Bargain BBQ!
I bought this a couple of weeks Ago and l've been very impressed with every aspect from putting it together (easy) clear instructions with laminated card with all the bolts and screws individually given a letter that corresponds to the instructions and diagrams. All the tools needed to cook on it and a waterproof cover. The size is ample for 6 persons, it fits neatly against the fence and feels robust enough and is easy to manoeuvre to where you want it.We had a BBQ and cooked all types of meat and fish with no worries,the warming shelf is useful too. Also easy to clean after the gathering. We were all very impressed by it and it's such a bargain. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone, it's that good!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 😊

Pros and cons. An analysis
The barbecue is light weighted. On the first try, I wanted to add charcoal and a wind came. It wasn’t a bad wind but it made the barbecue fall. I added some weight using some logs to secure it. If you want to keep it outside, you need to secure the cover because it keeps falling off. And the it also doesn’t have any easy way to clean the ashes. In general it feels cheap. However it is cheap! I got it gor £50 which is very cheap. It also had a set of barbecue utensils. In general, I is worth its price but if I had a chance, I would spend a bit more to get one that has a hatch underneath for cleaning.

Good value for money
I found this quite easy to put together but an extra pair of hands would have made it quicker. It is a good size and should be large enough to cook for 5, easy to move around and feels really sturdy once completed. I have not used it yet but it looks like there is ample space to clean easily and the cover is ideal for when you are using it often and you don’t need to put it away.

Bought this for the summer if we get one. Good design as it protects the base. The base usually burns through, so this should last longer. Shame it doesn’t have a thermometer. It does have a weather cover.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Drum Charcoal BBQ With Cover & Utensils: As with all charcoal BBQ’s – arrange charcoal on one side of the grill and add wood chips on the hot coals to produce smoke. Control the vents for airflow and maintain a temperature between 225°F and 250°F.

Hang the charcoal tray with the adjustable charcoal tray handle on the firebowl. The charcoal then goes on to the charcoal try. Please check out the video on the website, showing as picture number 2. This will give a better view on how to hang the tray.

It would be difficult to say how easy it is to clean the drum. It does state in the manual to make it easier to clean your Charcoal BBQ after use, line the firebowl with aluminium cooking
foil, shiney side up. Remember to leave ventilation holes clear by piercing the foil where necessary.
This process will lengthen the life of your Charcoal BBQ.

Hi there,
The Home Drum Charcoal BBQ With Cover & Utensils can cook for up to 10 people. Therefore the number of bags of charcoal needed is dependent not only on the number cooking for but the type of charcoal to be used i.e. lump charcoal, charcoal briquettes or self-lighting charcoal.
The user instructions do however state to use enough charcoal in the charcoal grate to a depth of 3 - 5cm. It is also recommended using Maximum 1.5kg of charcoal briquettes on the charcoal grate. Excess charcoal will make the BBQ too hot for cooking.
