Handy card reader
Have not used yet, got for car boot table top sales but have not had opportunity to use. I did a trial transaction myself and was fine. Unsure if but works where there is no WiFi eg outside at car boot. I yet have to find out

Perfect way for payments at craft fairs
I like the charging dock - makes it easier for in-person payments even when the terminal needs charging. My old one didn't have a charging dock so the cable would either have to be unplugged and left hanging somewhere or still attached trailing across my stock but now I can just take the terminal out the dock and it's free to go to wherever the customer is. The terminal works perfectly and as always, SumUp works well with my phone. So far there's been no connection issues after getting past the initial 'device update' stuff it does before the first ever transaction can go through.

I bought this to collect donations by card payment. Unfortunately, it stopped processing card payments. I tried everything but it just did not want to process payments. Couple of days later, I receive email asking me about my collection and my organisation. This was to monitor money laundering, I was told. If someone is paying or donating by card, how can that be money laundering? Cash payments are the source and vehicle for laundering money. We are a charitable organisation operating at different locations for various humanitarian causes.

This does require a business account, Sumup do offer a business account built in to allow you to action online banking and most banks offer a business account that allows access to online banking.

From the information we have available, I can advise The SumUp Air Card Reader does not need to be constantly plugged in. It has a built-in battery that can last for over 500 transactions on a full charge. The charging station is designed to keep the device charged and ready for use, but the card reader can operate independently once charged.

According to the Sumup site all readers can be used in remote transactions.

This SumUp Air Card Reader can accept card payments as well as Google and Apple Pay. The latter would be on a mobile device and doesn't require that a physical card be presented.
The SIM card is built in, however would not be used if you were connected to WiFi.
