Trust 4 port USB hub
Needed a good quality USB hub as cheaper ones not very good. Did the job admirably when I needed to clone my laptops failing hard drive onto replacement.

Extremely useful device.
Sturdy well constructed device which will allow up to four external devices to be connected simultaneously to a Chromebook or laptop which only has one USB Type A port. It will permit USB 3.0 data transfer speeds when suitably enabled gadgets are connected to the computer via this hub. For instance you could have a mouse, usb stick and external hard drive connected to your Chromebook all at the same time. Note you should avoid connecting more than one external hard drive to the hub as the USB Type A port on the Chromebook or laptop may not be able to supply enough current to power two spinning hard drives plugged into this hub at the same time.

Bought this recently. It works, but slow to respond when using to transfer data.

Hi Phoenix,

Thank you for using Q&A
Hello There,
From the information we have available, I can advise the Trust Halyx 4 Port USB Hub is compatible with Chromebooks. It provides four additional USB-A ports with a data transfer speed of up to 5 Gbps, making it a convenient option for connecting multiple devices.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hello roby,
From the information we have available, I can advise the Trust Halyx 4 Port USB Hub supports USB 3.2 Gen 1, which offers transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps. This should provide high-speed data transfers between your external SSDs, assuming they also support USB 3.0 or higher.
However, keep in mind that the total bandwidth is shared among all connected devices. So, if you're transferring data between multiple SSDs simultaneously, the speed might be slightly reduced compared to connecting a single SSD directly to your PC.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hello Tim,
The supplier has advised the following for the Trust Halyx 4 Port USB Hub:
“ Yes, that is possible, however it will charge very slowly since its powered via a usb-a port.
Using the Halyx Hub in combination with a USB-A powered adaptor (the ones used to charge smartphones via a wall socket) should give better results when charging 4 phones at the same time. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Be careful when doing so,but yes-but not continuously.1 or 2 for example can be used continuously,so therefore use the other 2 for eg charging then for safety once done take the 2 out, even though it could do-be safe not sorry.
Hello Stef,
The Trust Halyx 4 Port USB Hub adds 4 extra USB-A ports to your computer.
It is not a HDMI device.
Thank you for using Q&A.
