This blanket works well. The overheating safety cut out does as it's supposed to do, but the best feature as far as I'm concerned is the coverage area.

Bought a month ago and used on and off if cold enough since. It warms the bed really well - I put it on 5 minutes before I jump in, and I tend to then turn it off before I go to sleep as it’s warm enough then gradually cools. Very soft, can’t feel the wires at all and excellent warmth coverage. For the cost- this is excellent value.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Silentnight Luxury Hotel Collection Electric Blanket - King.
The electric blanket should go underneath. Then covered by a protector followed by the rest of your bedding.
All Silentnight products are safe to use with an electric blanket however other brands would need to be checked with the manufacturer directly.

"If you find the connector block is difficult to position, the electric blanket can be used upside down with the block facing into the mattress or turned towards the feet end providing you do not create a trip hazard or cover the controller."
