About this product
The Celestron UpClose G2 binoculars offer versatile zoom for outdoor adventures and events. Designed for birdwatching, nature observation, concerts and sports, they switch from 10x to 30x magnification with a lever. The 50mm lenses with multi-coated optics boost light transmission, delivering brighter, sharper images with excellent contrast in challenging conditions. Porro prism design ensures natural depth perception and true colour, while the rubber-covered aluminium body protects against knocks and rough handling.
At 794g, these binoculars feel solid without burdening longer outings. Centre focussing responds quickly as you switch between near and distant subjects, whether tracking birds or sports. Rubber eye cups provide comfortable viewing for extended sessions, adapting easily for spectacle wearers and those without. The zoom function means you don't need multiple pairs. One set handles everything from scanning wide landscapes at 10x to examining fine detail at 30x. Backed by a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee, these deliver reliable optical performance across many adventures and events.

Customers Say
Great value binoculars with powerful zoom, good clarity, and lightweight design. Suitable for birdwatching, nature, and casual use. Some find focusing tricky, especially at high zoom, and build quality could be better.

Good budget binoculars
Decent price for budget binoculars. Took a while to get the focusing right, but I found them really helpful when taking part in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch in January this year. Good clarity. Happy with my purchase.

Good Binoculars.
Very good product. Celestron makes good lenses. We tested it out in the field and the ability to zoom from 10x o 30x was super useful. I have steady hands and could hold it steady at the 30x zoom... which was a pleasant surprise. The light was also pretty good. The ability to focus at 30x is a bit of a fiddle but I think that is to be expected. It is an easy focus at 10x to 15x.

Hello Phil,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Celestron Upclose G2 10x-30x 50mm Zoom Binoculars 580/0755: ''It is possible to use 580/0755 for casual stargazing at the low end of the Zoom magnification 10x to 20x. 30x will be too powerful to handhold a binocular steady for stargazing. Consider the Celestron SkyMaster range which is designed for stargazing 729/6752 & 932/8518.''

Hi JohN,
Thanks for your question.
Viewing through UpClose G2 is comfortable for eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers alike, thanks to its rubber eyecups. Keep the eyecups up for proper positioning of the eyes without glasses. If you are wearing glasses, simply fold them down and out of the way.
I hope this helps. :)
