Brought it for my son, as a beginner its not bad but at same time not really mind blowing. I would suggest buy it on sale rather than full price

You get what you pay for.
Overall it's a positive experience but could be made better. The telescope is let down by the mount. It can see the moon with the included quite well. Where it falls down is the mount being quiet shaky and the adjustments not being quite accurate enough. The standard lenses work well with the angled piece but the only way I could get the additional 3x lense to work was looking straight in to the scope. Worth it for the money 🤑 f you are interested in getting started and are not sure if you will stick at it.

Hello Lindy,

Is easy to use for a child. Parental supervision recommended.

Hi Max,
This Celestron PS70/700 Refractor Telescope is capable of seeing the Andromeda Galaxy, however please be aware that the visibility does vary with the seasons, elevation, and light pollution - you will always be able to see more clearly in a dark area with minimal artificial light.

Hello tthere
Thanks for your query about the Celestron PS70/700 Refractor Telescope.
It's perhaps best suited to astronomical use but it can be used for viewing long distance on Earth too. This is dependent on how clear the weather is and other factors, but clear conditions will allow easy sight for a few miles at least.
I hope this helps
Thanks for using Q&A
Hi there
We asked the supplier for you.
They say - With the included erect image diagonal, the image will be correctly orientated when looking through the main telescope.
The image through the smaller finder scope will be upside down – this is normal
In terms of focus – it is recommended to start with the 20mm eyepiece (using no barlow). It may be that the customer is trying to focus on something that is too close e.g. if its being pointed at something in a garden from a house – that’s probably too close. They should try something more distant during the day, and the Stars at night to verify If there is a problem with the focus (if not done already).
Thanks for using Q & A
