My son loves it. He’s 5 so can’t read everything (Shame it doesn’t read out the story line as you go on) but he’s still been able to play it. Brought back some nostalgia as huge similarities to the original game boy colour games.

Great for kids
It's fairly fun to pick up and play. But if you're an older gamer trying to get some nostalgia of the early Gameboy games I would pro avoid. It's incredibly easy, you can avoid wild Pokémon by walking around them and if you do bump into them you don't have to fight them you just catch or run, for me this take away one key mechanics of the early games. I like how they have tried to keep to the original music and general feeling but it's just not gritty enough in my opinion. I played for three hours and I'm struggling to want to carry on. This would be a great game for kids aged 7-12 and let's be honest I'm probably not the target market at 37...
