Doesn't play region 1 dvds
It doesn't play multi regional dvds. Despite contacting the company concerned it doesn't work for what i bought it for and it needs to go back! Complete waste of my time

Didn't work
Bought hoping to watch some DVDs I had bought abroad that are region locked but it couldn't read any of my DVDs even local ones. Complete rubbish, had to return.

Happy with purchase
Only used once so far but sound and picture quality are good and low background noise. Easy to set but would have liked a longer mains lead. Three year free guarantee is useful.

Does ALMOST everything.
Worked correctly, as stated, very good picture and sound quality. One problem, though, the reason I bought it was to watch movies on a USB thumb drive. No matter what format would not play the latest video formats, so totally useless for that reason to me, so I had to return.. This is not the only one within its price range, and double which has this problem.

not a good picture
What can i say about this dvd player??, I chose this over the slightly less expensive Panasonic option for the hdmi upscaling and format support it boasted much to my disappointment. I used to find the lesser known brands put more into their products (How i miss the golden days of the early 2000's when this was still true) but what can i say about this dvd player... Does it apparently play a wide range of formats, yes. Is it made of the most cheapest feeling plastic with cheap tacky front buttons and display and remote controller money can buy.. yes Do i worry about using my dvd's in there as they seem to come out cooked to a thousand degrees, also yes. Does it play the dvd's though, yes.. if by that you mean you can watch them on the tv in some form. Is the picture quality great, no, the colour and brightness/contrast is way off and picture looks fuzzy not dvd sharp, the picture is a little blocky in areas when playing even for dvd standard resolution on a hd tv. Does it upscale well.. also no, refer to blocky out of colour reference above. Watching a movie with the blocky out of colour blurry haze is often difficult to see what going on in many scenes. Does it still feel unusually and worryingly warm in places when not in use and turned off on standby, also yes. The only benefit to this dvd player for me is i don't have to use my pc dvd drive and pc connected to the tv or stop everything i am working on to watch a dvd on my pc monitor. That being said as i have quite a few rare dvd's and edition movies i highly doubt i will be using this very often to cook them and be looking for another player in the near future..
