Great Laptop Replacement
I purchased to replace a very old heavy laptop that was no longer used a lot, but I needed something bigger than my phone and had a sizable keyboard. So it was a choice between a tablet with a keyboard or this Chromebook and I am so glad I chose this, it is light, easy to use and due to it being Google everything from passwords ect that are held on Google went straight over to it. Very easy to use and is just the job for my home use.

I brought this Chromebook for my daughter to do her homework on. It has all the resources that she needs , allowing her to open all the files from her school website so that she can do her homework and do web searches for any information she needs and with it being tied into the Google parent app, I can see what she's doing and know that when she's looking online that it will be age appropriate listed in the worry. As a parent, the actual laptop has a lovely large screen, very responsive keys and a very sturdy build. And as a parent, I do appreciate the fact that Google won't let her download anything with spyware on it or any other viruses as it's pre-scanned before they get to it. And as I said before with the parental controls I can control how long and what she can search for or use the computer for

6 month review: a fantastic tool for my studies
I've had this Chromebook for six months and it gets hammered every day: thrust into my backpack and unfolded on a variety of narrow lecture-theatre "desks". It has never missed a beat, and works reliably every time. It's just a laptop - but I feel a bit attached to it, now. (It cost less at Argos than Amazon, and was a quarter the price of my fellow-students' Macbooks, and seems, anecdotally, to have better battery life). Thanks, Argos!

Having some trouble using the Chrome book as it's operating system is different to normal word etc but with use and a book Chrome for Dummies, if there is one, I am sure I will be ok š

Yes. All Chromebooks have built in security and anti virus protection ; it is part and parcel of the Android operating system. It is very different to a PC as it is Android. However if you have a Gmail or Googlemail account it is very easy to set up. It's syncs with your android phone and compared to my 12 year old PC it is lightening fast.
