About this product
The Hisense AX5125H brings proper surround sound to your living room with a 5.1.2 channel setup that includes nine speakers in the main soundbar, two wireless rear speakers, and a subwoofer for genuinely immersive Dolby Atmos audio. With upward-firing drivers built in, sound projects overhead as well as around you, creating that 3D effect that pulls you into whatever you're watching, gaming or listening to. The rear speakers are wireless so you just place them behind your seating and plug them in, no cables trailing across the room.
At 500W total power, there's enough punch for action-packed films and subtle dialogue alike, with the subwoofer delivering 200W of deep bass you'll feel as much as hear. The soundbar itself fits most TV setups without taking over, and if you'd rather wall-mount it, the brackets are included in the box. You get HDMI for simple connection to your TV, plus optical and USB inputs, and Bluetooth for streaming music from your phone. Setup is straightforward, and it comes with a remote, HDMI cable, wall-mount fixings, and a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Great surround sound.
Had been looking to update my system and this system was highly rated online by buyers and "What Hi Fi", Argos had it on special offer and I must say I am not disappointed with the sound. The system is easy to set up as long as you've got the available wall sockets in each speaker location to power each of the four speaker units, as they're the only connecting wires on the rear and sub speaker, on the soundbar you have additional sockets for hdmi and optical cables one of each included. I needed an additional cable to connect my sky box. If you need to connect anything additional like a Blu-ray or projector you will probably need to buy a switch box. TV takes a little longer to come on as it goes through the speaker connection, but everything connects automatically and I am really pleased with the sound. Some people say the bass isn't enough but it's quite adequate for our room. Included Remote is straightforward to use, used some of the settings suggested by users online and sound is really good and clear.

Bought this a week ago on a deal as I wanted a soundbar for my bedroom. Now some of the hisense products can be hit and miss but this soundbar for the price is a absolute bargin especially been Dolby Atmos if I didn't have a lg system in my livingroom I'd be buying another

Great value and sound, but cables too short.
I’m very happy with the overall sound quality at this price point, especially the bass, which is far better than expected. The system feels well‑built and offers excellent value for money, particularly with the Argos discount code. My only criticism is the length of the supplied cables. The 1.5m power leads make placement of the rear speakers difficult, and I had to use extension leads. If the speakers are mounted on stands or on the wall, most of the cable is used just getting down to floor level. The L‑shaped figure‑8 connector also protrudes more than it should, limiting compatibility with stands. If 3m cables were supplied and better power cable connector design, it would easily be a 5‑star product. As it stands, 4 stars feels right.

Wireless it ain't !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Described as wireless - HOW ? Soundbar needs two cables to connect to t.v. Both Subwoofer and back speakers need mains connection - the latter not having enough cable length to reach mains sockets. In what way shape or form is that "Wireless" ? The sound is okay, I.e. better than t.v. but not as good as expected. Admittedly, this is probably due to old t v. which doesn't support Dolby Atmos. Altogether a bit disappointed, mainly due to the awkwardness of everything needing mains connection. Not what I expected.

Unbelievable Hisense Soundbar/Sub
Purchased this last week….ordered on Argos app and there was a 20%offer on if you ordered on the App. Paid £167 and all I can say is WOW….For the money it’s unbelievable…connected to a Toshiba 65 qled with a Firestick plugged in …used the supplied eArc cable. Setup a doddle…make sure you check the settings in both tv/stick to make sure there operating in the eArc.Plenty of YouTube vids to watch on best setup. Boxed and packaged very well…all you need in the box…including the perfect wall brackets. I’m no expert but the sound this thing produces is unbelievable clear/crisp and the bass is awesome….i can’t recommend it enough…for the money. Tv remote controls everything you need to through the eArc. Brilliant 👍🏻

Hisense Soundbar AX5125H
What a fantastic bit of Audio kit, especially for the money. Really easy to set up and operate and the quality of sound is amazing. This unit was bought to replace my Bose 700 soundbar and the sound quality is more than comparable, with the Bass being better.

Great value. Let down by poor instructions.
Excellent value for money (was 5* reviewed in WhatHifi at a higher price), but instructions are poor. Minimal explanation on best placement. No explanation of what different EQ settings actually tweak. One of the Remote buttons sends the same signal to LG TVs as the Disney Plus button (press it and it launches Disney Plus). A known fault in online forums. Can be worked around by pressing and holding the central button to launch the settings menu. Better manual or online guidance and it would be 4.5-5*.

The rear speakers are required to create cinema surround sound, but they can be switched off if not required. It's recommended to switch off the surround setting if not using, so that no parts of audio meant for the rear speakers, is missed.

I can advise that the Hisense AX5125H uses Bluetooth to wirelessly connect its subwoofer and rear satellite speakers to the main soundbar for true surround sound, eliminating long speaker cables, though these separate components still need their own power cords.

The rear speakers for the Hisense AX5125H connect wirelessly to the soundbar but need their own power supply. They do not have to be cabled back to the main soundbar, only plugged into a wall outlet to receive power.
