Best Picture
Now that I have the TV set up - I can definitely say it’s the best picture on any TV I have ever owned. vibrant natural colours and deep deep blacks, it’s worth using some of the picture pre-sets to get the best out of it - but between the picture quality and the smart features - I could not be happier.

Not the best for the price you pay
We brought the TV just before Christmas 2025 and by the end of Jan 2026 it was broken took a few weeks for someone to come out and repair. The picture quality is ok but you do get yellow lines when the picture is really dark like a glow around a person or an object. The sound with just the TV speakers is not great you really need a sound bar. But be aware the when going from say YouTube to Netflix the volume level is very different. I wouldn't buy a Sony TV again
Why3
Better than the one we bought
Bought a tv 4.5 years ago, came with a 5 yr warranty, screen went bad practically unwatchable.called Sony after a couple of week of pictures for proof of fault and senior level discussions a new 2025 to was sent out and fit by Sony approved repair centre.does take a little time but that’s only to be expected.

Sony vs Samsung
Best TV I've ever had 2025. this year 2026 Samsung has slightly better picture but I'd still pick Sony, Why? Because Sony has stuck with Glass and personal preference Glass beats plastic hands down. Samsung beware Sony coming back 10 fold 2027 ill looking to make that flagship purchase with Sony TVs built to last

I am very happy with the TV
I bought the Sony Bravia 8 and so far, I am very happy with the TV

Blacks look poor quality
Sadly the picture quality when watching sky Q is poor when viewing very dark scenes. Rather than dark tones smoothly blending, they are in blocks or stepped changes. Almost giving a cartoon like affect to changes in tone.

Excellent All round!
Our first new smart television having had an original 2006 Bravia, and what a difference. Easy to set up and adjust to our preferences. Great OLED picture quality with no loss of clarity when sitting at an angle, excellent sound. Overall, we are extreamly pleased .
