Bought for my elderly mother who is pestered with nuisance calls daily. So far the blocking functions on the phone are working very well. Worth giving the phone a try if you’re suffering from the same problem.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for BT 4600 Cordless Telephone with Answer Machine - Twin.
Please follow the instructions below to switch the remote access on:
1. Select Menu, Answer Phone is displayed, press OK.
2. Scroll until Answer settings is displayed, press OK.
3. Scroll to display Remote access and press OK.
4. On/Off is displayed, press OK.
5. Scroll to display On or Off and select Save. Saved will be displayed.
To change the remote access PIN number:
1. Select Menu, Answer Phone is displayed, press OK.
2. Scroll until Answer settings is displayed, press OK.
3. Scroll to display Remote access and press OK.
4. Scroll to display Change PIN and press OK.
5. Enter your old 4 digit PIN (the default setting is 0000 and select OK.
6. Enter the new 4 digit PIN, select OK, then enter the new PIN again and select OK. The display will show New PIN saved.
Operating you answer machine remotely
1. Dial your phone number.
2. When you hear your outgoing message, press * and enter your 4 digit remote access PIN.
3. Follow the voice prompts to:
1. Play main Menu
2.Play all messages
3.Skip back during playback
5.Delete a message during playback
6.Skip forward during playback
7.Turn answer machine on
9.Turn answer machine off

The BT4600 Corless Telephone & Answering Machine has been tested on the BT Fibre routers and work with fibre broadband. Most phone ports support the standard telephone line cords, however there are some routers that require adapters, you would need to speak to your Broadband provider regarding this.
