The bell works really nice, easy to install and battery on it is decent too. the best part is you dont need a subscription just get a memory card from CEX for GBP12 and you're all good to go with the storage.

We have been using this doorbell a few weeks now and it is working well. It was fairly straightforward to set up and put in place. It has a wide angle, so can see all around. It has coped with heavy rain too. The doorbell has been in two weeks and the battery is now at 65%.

Modern Door bell
I bought this door bell to connect alongside my indoor cameras and it is awesome. So easy to set up, link and install. It came with everything that was needed to get started. The view from the camera is really clear and covers a huge area at the front door area and has increased my feeling of safety of my home a property. The TapoD20 Video Doorbell is a good product with a lot of alternative ways on how to mount it. Not too difficult to set up. So far so good. I’m pleased with it. Thanks Argos as well for the good staff duty on that day.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Tapo D210 2K 3MP Video Doorbell with Chime: The SD card on your Tapo D210 can record both scenarios, depending on how you configure the settings. Here's how it works:
To record doorbell video to a microSD card, insert the card into the doorbell and go to Device Settings > Storage & Recording to configure:
1. Enable the Local Recording feature
2. Enable Loop Recording (recommended) on the Local Storage page
3. Go to Recording Schedule to set your recording preferences. You can choose:
• "Detection Recording" • This will record when motion is detected in your set activation zone OR when the doorbell button is pressed
• "Don't Record" • For times when you don't want any recording
4. Enable Record Sound if you want audio included
Important note: The Tapo D210 is a battery-powered doorbell, so it does NOT support "Continuous Recording" (24/7 recording).
Additionally, in the Detection > Wake-up settings > Wake-up when section, you can select either "Event Detected" or "Doorbell pressed".
So your SD card will record both when someone presses the doorbell AND when motion is detected in your activation zone, as long as Detection Recording is enabled in your recording schedule.

The supplier has confirmed. For the Tapo D210 2K 3MP Video Doorbell, the battery is built-in and cannot be removed; charging should always be done while the battery remains installed in the device.

You do not need a subscription to use the Tapo Video Doorbell when using local microSD card storage. Subscription is only required for Tapo Care Cloud Storage Services.

From the information available, the camera does have 2 way audio, that lets you speak directly through. It does not show that the voice can be recorded.
