I bought this item for my granddaughter to have a safe sleeping place. Good product took 2 minutes to put together. Mattress a bit hard just put a quilt over the mattress to make it a bit softer. Well worth the price. Xxx

Very disappointing experience with a faulty travel
Very disappointing experience with a faulty travel cot I recently purchased a Joie Allura Travel Cot with Bassinet – Black Ink from Argos, and unfortunately the experience has been very disappointing. When I unpacked the cot with my son, I discovered that the bassinet was missing. We then tried to assemble the cot, only to find that it appeared to be faulty. Initially, one of the sides would not lock into place. After spending a considerable amount of time trying to get it working, we eventually managed to put it up — but then we could not get it to fold back down. I tried contacting Argos by telephone, but the automated system repeatedly asked the same questions, then said it couldn't understand me and hung up. This happened on a couple of occasions. I also sent an email complaint to Argos and, at the time of writing this review, I am still waiting for a response. I returned the faulty item to the Wigan Sainsbury's Marus Bridge store, where a helpful and friendly young man dealt with the return and provided me with a gift card refund. He also said he would leave a note for his manager to look into what had happened. Unfortunately, I have received no further response from the store either. I appreciate the help I received from the member of staff at the store, but overall this has been a very frustrating experience. When you purchase a new product, particularly something intended for your child, you expect it to be complete, safe and fit for purpose. Having a missing component, a faulty product and then struggling to get a response from customer service is extremely disappointing. Argos needs to do better when dealing with customers who receive faulty or incomplete products.

Such a good travel cot, took my 12 week old away for the weekend and realised he was really getting a bit too big for his bassinet, so bought this as a bit of an emergency purchase on the back of the other good reviews. It’s fantastic, we’ve had the best nights sleep we’ve ever had with him, so much so I’ve put this up in our room for the week whilst I order a big cot to replace his usual next to me crib and he’s sleeping so well. Can’t comment on durability yet as we’ve only had it the week but it’s super quick and simple to put up and pack away and really sturdy so far. I’d say it’s also compact and pretty light for what it is. The mattress is quite thin like others say, but baby is safe and comfortable so I’m happy.

"We confirm that our Allura travel cot functions in much the same way as most standard travel cots, simply open, lock the sides then push the centre of the floor downwards. To fold, pull the floor upwards then the sides will unlock."
