The supplier has advised the following for the Chad Valley PlaySmart Phonics Board:
"The board gives one sound for each letter. The board uses ‘long’ phonetics instead of ‘short’ phonetics, for instance ‘ay’ instead of ‘ah’, and ‘bee’ instead of ‘buh’.
There is a video of the board in use on YouTube if that is any further help at all."

The Chad Valley PlaySmart Phonics Board is able to do both letter names and letter phonics via use of the setting slider on the bottom of the board.

I can confirm that this item only plays sounds.

You have to slide the sounds button along the bottom of the board for phonics.

I have contacted our suppliers with your query, they have advised me that the problem may be due to low battery.

They advise too;
1. Install the batteries correctly as per provided instructions manual.
2. Switch on the unit by pulling the bar at the bottom to right.
