Instructions not clear
I found the instructions to set the timers confusing. Fortunately a relative was able to set them. They are fiddly to set.

Disappointed.
Sadly I was unable to set these up I asked friend who was also not able to work it out. She said they are very fiddly. Went to a hardware store and bought one of these.

Simple to set up
Simple to set up and not reliant on charging them like the electronic versions available. I’ve had those and everytime i used them i had to remind myself how to programme. With this set of three i was up and running in a couple of minutes. Very happy.

Almost idiot proof
Just what I was looking for.

Nice timers
The pins that you move up or down to set the timer are quite small but once you've set it you shouldn't need to keep adjusting. I'm using it to turn on an oil filled radiator and it's perfect for my needs. It would also work well for lamps.

Does the job
Previously had the electronic 7 day timers that lasted a few years. Found the settings to be quite a nuisance. If the timer is needed for ‘on’ and ‘off’ at the same time each day, I prefer this product. Easier to setup. Blue segments are a bit fiddly to toggle up and down, but manageable

No problems!
Simple, inexpensive, and - so far - very reliable!

Good timers
I needed some more timers for lamps as the old ones were a bit clunky and noisy. These are good replacements - easy to set, just plug in and leave them to it.

Handy pack of plug timers
Great little gadgets - do the job of turning on and off lamps while I'm out of the house. Once set up just let them do their job.

Hi Tinkerbell, thank you for your enquiry.
The segments are plastic and we haven't had any instances of breakage so far which would seem to prove they are sturdy enough for their purpose.
Ease of operation can vary from user opinion to user opinion, we feel that they are not too difficult but some would disagree, the size being the main point they make (i.e. they're fairly small so can be difficult to move individually for some people).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Patsy, thank you for your enquiry.
Our technical information for the TMS24 (our code for this timer) shows the dimensions to be:-
60mm wide (62mm including the slide switch on the right side)
100.5mm tall
38.1mm deep from the back to the front socket face (63.3mm including pins and the dial which is slightly proud of the front socket face)
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Masterplug 24 Hour Mechanical Segment Timer - 3 Pack: ''We have not tested this and cannot see what its purpose could be as the Gas can not be controlled by mains, the switching would be done by a control knob, You can not switch on gas and then use a timer to start as this would be dangerous.''
Thank you for using Q & A.

Hi Catsassin,
Thank you for your enquiry. Our products are designed in the UK but manufactured in our own factory in China
Hi Abdul, thank you for your enquiry.
There are two points which cause us concern with this question:-
1. a Solar battery would be charged by the sun (via Solar Panels);
2. this timer has a maximum power capacity of 13A resistive or 2A inductive, so 290A would be very high (although this likely isn't the charging load level).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Happy, thank you for your enquiry.
That will depend on the load of the pump, the timer has a capacity for 13A (3,120W / 3.12kW) or Resistive load or 2A (480W / 0.48kW) or Inductive load.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi There

This would depend on the extension lead being used. The timers measure width 30 mm by height 100 mm.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Li,
our technical information shows that the "Standby power consumption" of this timer is:- 1.04W
Hi There
Masterplug 24 Hour Mechanical Segment Timer
Having checked I can see the below instructions to set this timer:
● Insert the timer into the required socket outlet, and then plug the appliance to be controlled into this timer.
● Push down the blue segments on the timer face corresponding to the desired operating time.
(One segment = 15 minutes).
● Turn the disk clockwise, following the direction of the arrows, until the grey marker is pointing at the current time.
● To activate the timer function ensure that the switch on the side is down and so indicating the timer symbol.
● For manual override, to disable the timer function, move switch to the up position and so indicating the timer symbol.
● Maximum load = 13(2)A, 3120 Watts, 240 Volts (2AX Inductive Load).
DO NOT OVERLOAD THE TIMER
