Hi no , cant say I've ever felt any heat but my partner does most of cooking but must say they are fantastic pans and never stick and a doddle to clean. We have the wok and frying pan also.

That just depends on how much dirt you sling on it. Comes up proper tidy when you wash it though - you know what I mean like?
