The Vax Gator Cordless Handheld is one of those vacuums you reach for when you need a quick fix. It runs for a solid quarter of an hour on a full charge, which is plenty for sofas, car interiors, stairs or those crumbs that always end up in the corners. At just over a kilogram, it's properly lightweight, so you can hold it overhead or reach into awkward spots without your arm getting tired.
It features a compact dustbin that empties easily, and the retractable crevice tool is built right in, so you're not hunting around for attachments. The motor gives you enough suction for everyday messes, and because it's cordless, you can take it anywhere without trailing cables. It charges overnight, making it ready when you need it. Works across upholstery, stairs, hard floors, and car interiors.

This is perfect for vacuuming around the cat litter tray and my stairs. Good sucktion. Small capacity does mean frequent emptying but that’s to be expected. Usual Vax good quality and design.

I suddenly became disabled earlier this year and am waiting for a back operation! I have not been able to hoover our stairs since this happened and feel ashamed that it is 6 months since I did. After checking handheld vacuums and reading reviews I chose the Vax Gator, not expecting it to perform very well, how wrong can a person be, today I managed to do the stairs, it took about 15 minutes and what a result! The little Vax is superb with surprisingly strong suction and I now have lovely clean stairs and a very powerful little machine to use in future. It was very easy to dismantle and clean, the little rubbish dispenser was packed, wish it was a bit bigger. I wasn't looking forward to putting it on charge for 24 hours, but the charging light turned off after 4 hours charge, another plus - along with the price - well worth every penny spent, which wasn't a great deal.

Great small portable vacuum
I bought this to vacuum out my car and it’s works perfectly , it’s small and portable , light and has run time of approximately 20 mins which is enough to hoover out my car , it’s also handy in the house for small areas if you want to quickly hoover up small areas

I struggled to adjust to the balance because the handle on my previous one was on top and so easy to use. I got used to the very different grip and am very happy, mainly because of the great runtime.
