Looks very expensive
I purchased this in protest against a gaming table for my son. I wanted some thing vintage modern that matched the sage green decor. The quality is great. Desk with character
I really like the desk, which has lots of character and is spacious for home working. It appears to be solid and the drawer and ‘pen holder’ are convenient features. The only thing I’m unsure about is the green melamine surface. I think a different material would have been more classy and in keeping with art’s and crafts aesthetics. It was a nightmare to put together, partly because the instructions are unclear and partly because the machine drilled holes had not been made properly in some cases. This meant I spent a lot of time pursuing after sales support, which was a nightmare and ultimately of no use.

I can advise that the top of this desk is oak veneer. Everything else is solid wood.

After completely disassembling the desk, I see the way to secure the back bar using the moon gaskets is to keep the screws very loose, then slide on the moon gaskets and secure with the Allen key. It is very fiddly and awkward but it is possible.
