Talking clock
Does what we wanted, talks the time. But.. It isn't very robust, it was dropped on the floor within a week and the front plastic clock face cover came off and one of the hands broke, and now neither of the hands work. Luckily the talking is done from the digital clock so it can still be used. Our other clock had been dropped hundreds of times and never broke once!

Easy to use talking alarm clock
I bought this a few weeks ago for my mum who is visually impaired and can't see to use an ordinary alarm clock. She loved it straight away. She'd already tried a couple before but couldn't get on with them as they were complicated to use. This clock was quick and simple to set up and simple to use. My mum is very pleased with it.

Thank you for using Argos Q and A.
It's a 12 hour clock with an AM/PM function which allows you to set alarms for either AM or PM. In short, yes it does possess the functionality you require. I hope this helps.
Hello Sarah, Pressing the 'Set' button will turn the alarm on/off, the bell symbol will show on the screen to indicate when the alarm is on. The same with the hourly chime. This is controlled by the 'Min' button and a chime symbol will indicate on/off.
Hello Blossom, thank you for your email. The Talking Alarm Clock does not have a constant backlight.
