Good mid-range pressure washer
Ordered easily online and collected locally a mid-range Karcher K3 classic to pressure wash garden path, steps and patio. Set up was ok, although had slight problem getting firm connection on the quick-connect trigger gun, but was fine once got firm connection. The telescopic carry handle is great for moving jetwasher around and for storage. The K3 classic works well, especially with its 6metre long high pressure hose, and has done a really nice job.

This is a replacement K3 as the first one did not work. Argos replaced it via free home delivery at the sale price. The replacement works really well. Powerful and quieter than my last K2 that lasted more than 5 years.

On checking I can see this requires a garden hose (fabric reinforced, diameter at least 1/2 inch (13 mm), length at least 7.5 m, with commercially available quick coupling). This is not supplied with the washer.

The supplier has advised the following for the Karcher K 3 Classic Pressure Washer - 1600W:
“ Detergent can work differently depending on your machine model and choice of cleaning agent.
Detergents will only flow through the machine when it is operating on low pressure. This is why we advise using either the mix setting if you have a Vario Lance or the trigger gun with no accessory attached. You can also use detergent-compatible accessories such as wash brushes.
If you are using a high pressure accessory such as the Dirt Blaster lance or T-Racer patio cleaner then the detergent flow will be restricted.
When you have finished applying the detergent using the low pressure setting, simply turn the machine back to high pressure to stop the flow of detergent. This can be achieved from turning the Vario Lance to the high pressure setting or connecting an accessory (other than a wash brush) into the trigger gun.
Detergent Suction tube:
To use the detergent suction tube, open your detergent and place next to your machine. Carefully pull the clear tube with the white filter from the machine and place the tube into the detergent, ensuring the filter is fully submerged. When using detergent, please ensure you have the Vario Lance in the mix position. ”
