I bought this scales because my Salted scales were spawning random numbers. This one weighs great! It passed a "pee test" - weigh yourself, go to pee and weigh again. I was clearly lighter after. Precious scales would have shown I put on weight after the visit to the toilet! Anyway, this Renpho great to weigh yourself. It comes with a free app to keep track of your progress. Unfortunately, body composition is a lottery. It's well known that weight changes throughout the day and it's mostly water and the food at different stages of digestion. Balance reads that not as body water change, but as muscle and fat changes. I'm not losing and regaining and losing a pond of fat and a pond of muscle each day! I guess go get better information you must spare the coin for their top model.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Renpho Smart Body WiFi Bathroom Scale - Black.
When you select to view your weight in "st/lb" in the app, please note that the app will display your weight in stone, rounded down to the nearest whole number, and then display the remainder weight in imperial pounds.
1 pound = 16 ounces
So, 0.4 pounds = 0.4 × 16 = 6.4 ounces.

The Renpho Smart Body WiFi Bathroom Scale - Black, as well as the Renpho Health app, is also compatible with third party apps such as Apple Health, Samsung Health, Google Fit or Fitbit. I have searched on Renpho app and there is no record of monthly subscriptions being required.

“ The smart body fat scale works with the Renpho Health app, not the Strava app. If you use an Android phone, you can sync the measurements to MyFitnessPal, Health Connect, Fitbit, and Samsung Health. For iPhone users, measurements can be synced to MyFitnessPal, Apple Health, and Fitbit. ”

Yes, you can use the digital scale without the necessity of accompanying it with an app. It will provide you with accurate measurements of weight whenever you need. For this, App use is recommended though as you’d have more limited features without it.
Available Metrics without App: Weight only.
Available Metrics with App: Full spectrum of body metrics.
They also advise: “For the smart scale, we strongly recommend pairing it with our dedicated app to take advantage of its full capabilities. While the scale will still measure your weight without the app, it requires the app connection to unlock its full potential and record comprehensive body metrics such as body fat percentage, muscle mass, water weight, and more. Using the smart scale in conjunction with the app will ensure you have access to detailed insights and a holistic view of your health and fitness progress.”
