DO NOT BUY - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
Never really worked well.. For starters: - It has an annoying voice over that one can’t turn off at all. - After a few months, the status light kept flashing pink and the unit started turning itself on randomly at all hours of the day (it did so in the middle of the night once and gave us a right fright) - And to top it all off, 12 month warranty expired and the subwoofer now won’t work - it turns on and it pairs, it just won’t give any bass.. In summary, don’t waste your money on this product.

Do not buy HS3100 which is the more expensive newer version of this model, buy this model instead. With thr HS3100 model you get more watt power but the amplifier split was around 75% mid range / treble and 25% bass, with this model product the split is around 50% which makes music and movies more immersive and a lot cheaper

Great sound, terrible reliability!
I bought a hisense soundbar + Bluetooth subwoofer and it was amazing! The atmospheric sound this little sound bar could push out is incredible, and partnered with the sub and it's deep booming base it really felt like an amazing watching experience. However, after about a year of owning my hisense kit, the subwoofer just stopped working full stop. No audio, no response, nothing. The soundbar says it's connected to it but it no longer does it's job. The sub lives in a very dust free, no touch zone in my house and all of a sudden it just breaks without any rhyme or reason and I've done every step on the hisense website to fix it but it still doesn't do anything. I'm completely out of options and out of warranty and I'm fuming about it because I honestly thought hisense was the way to go. But clearly I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, the audio quality is amazing for the price, but longevity wise you're really not gonna last long especially in my case which is really sad to say. And hisense hasn't reached out to help me at all after making multiple issues tickets about it.

The soundbar connects to the Tv via a cable. You do not have to connect it to a mains socket.
