Just bought one of these and can confirm that it can be turned off at the gun end. The blue lever slides back and forth to vary pressure from off to full.

A kitchen tap fitting is not included and would need to be specific to the style of tap you have.''

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the McGregor 10m Patio Hose Reel: ''The sizes refer to standard BSP threads.
BSP sizes don't match up with what you measure on the scale of a ruler, which often causes confusion.
A 1/2 inch BSP thread actually measures more like 3/4 inch with a ruler.''
