I bought this because my neighbour has several and recommended this camera. It is very good and works well (needs a micro sd card to get the best use). The phone app is easy to use and there are no monthly fees to pay unless you opt for cloud storage

It is not recommended to place the camera behind glass. If the camera is installed behind glass, infrared lights may cause reflection, resulting in blurry and unclear images, thereby hindering the timely detection of moving objects, especially in night time scenes.

Usually, turning the camera off and then on again will automatically restore the connection. If not, you may need to reconfigure it. However, we do not recommend turning the camera on and off frequently.

''24/7 Recording:
Yes, the camera supports continuous 24/7 recording when a microSD card (up to 512GB) is installed. This feature can be enabled in the Tapo app under the recording settings. Cloud storage and event-based recording are also available, but for uninterrupted footage, local storage via microSD is recommended.
Window Placement & Infrared Control:
We do not recommend placing the camera behind glass (such as windows). At night, light will reflect off the glass, reducing image quality. In addition, glass will block the motion sensor of the battery camera, making it unable to detect motions. For best performance, the camera should be installed in an open area without glass obstruction.''
