“I can confirm that the lid itself does not come off, however there is an inner lid cover that can be removed for easy cleaning. To remove the cover, press the Release Button and the cover will pop off.
Here are the cleaning instructions for this part:
• Wash after each use
• Hand wash with hot water and mild dish soap or wash in
dishwasher, top rack
• Never use harsh chemical detergents, powders or
scouring pads on accessories. ”

Having checked the instructions, the Rice Cooker does have a delay start function. This can be set from between 10 minutes and 24 hours.
