Practically useless

I bought this lawnmower as it stated it was for small and medium gardens. I wouldn’t consider my garden to be large, but the battery lasted for a mere 8 minutes, meaning that to mow the entire lawn would probably have taken 3 charges! Fortunately Argos were able to refund me fully and I replaced it with the equivalent corded model. When the mower does have power, it was easy to use, relatively quiet, and the grass container was very large. A shame really; the batteries completely let this lawnmower down.

Exactly what you’d expect from a Flymo

This lawnmower is robust, easy to use and cuts the lawn amazingly. It handles like a petrol but is much lighter and not as cumbersome, the cutting height is easily adjusted using 1 lever which is great if you let it get a little too long and it folds away compact. If your lawn isn’t perfectly flat be aware, like a petrol, it will scalp the lawn if your setting is too low. I love that you can stand it flat on end without needing a wall bracket. There is nice sturdy handle on top to help manoeuvre but it was a little heavy for me to use that solely, however wasn’t a problem for hubby. You are required to use the two batteries at the same time and I’d definitely say you’d need to purchase another pair of batteries as I could only mow a small-medium front, non manicured lawn before I needed a recharge so I could do the back. This is the only downside but they are part of the Power for All Alliance battery scheme so you might already have some. Overall this is a fantastic lawnmower, I’ve already had a few compliments on the neatness of my lawn and hubby now likes to cut it which is a definite win. I never want to deal with a cable again!

Powerful with 45L Capacity

Flymo 36V EasiStore 380R - I found having no more restrictions (cable/extension) particularly useful with having an awkward placed strip of grass along the front section of driveway. After unboxing I placed both the battery packs on charge (need both in situ for product to work) took 1.5 hours to fully charge. Assembly took 45 minutes (an amateur mistake on my part as I initially thought only had pictures to go by). Within manual Section 2 Assembly is a detailed assembly guide that marries up to pictures. I found the battery life to be 30 minutes which enabled me to fully mow the back lawn and main front lawn (needed to recharge for additional front lawn section) - please note this does all depend on variety of factors ie size of garden area/s, length grass, if mowing continuously or stop/starting. The useful power indicator (LED display) will keep you on track as to when best for you to recharge. Lawnmower comes with a variety of cleverly designed features ie twin lever handles both left/right (choice is yours) - I’m left handed and found I could now use with ease. Grass box has 45L capacity with a full box indicator (just remember to place in upwards position and this will close over when box full). The tongue design to prevent grass cutting spillages when emptying works. Comes with varying height adjustment which is easy to do (20 - 60mm) and closer cut design. I’ve yet to master the striped lawn finish with the rear roller but with overall ease of use of lawnmower am actually looking forward to try. Quick and easy to fold handles down and store away. 3 Year Warranty if register within 3 months of date of purchase (otherwise be 2 Year Warranty).

Cordless genius

The Flymo 36v EasiStore 380R lawnmower was easy to put together, the instructions were a bit vague but the picture on the box gives a clear view of which part goes where. It took around an hour to put together, I did it myself although I could have done with an extra pair of hands to hold all the parts together. After charging the batteries to full I had a fine day to cut the grass. The lawnmower is very easy to use, even though light, it is very sturdy and the grass box was huge. I was able to cut all the grass and only had to empty it once I had finished mowing. It was great using a cordless mower, there were no wires to move around when cutting. On the whole it’s a great lawnmower, easy to put together, easy to use and a great piece of equipment.

Great for a small to medium sized garden

This lawnmower comes nicely boxed and requires some construction before use. This is relatively simple, with reasonable instructions and takes about 30 minutes from start to finish (see photo). When unpacking take care as the batteries and other items are under the lawnmower itself (see photo). Also take care to get the lower handle at the correct angle before attaching the pressure clips (see photo), and make sure you do not overtighten these else they will not operate properly. The batteries are not ready charged, so you cannot use straight out of the box. It comes with two batteries and two chargers, and both batteries are required to operate the lawnmower. It took around 90 minutes to reach full charge. Once in use the lawnmower is very light and easy to manoeuvre. I used it at lowest cutting level (it has 5) and it gives a great cut (see photo of before and after and finished). It also allows you to cut very close to wall and fence edges. The handgrips are very sensitive, and if you loosen your grip slightly the mower will cut out. It has two limitations in my book: 1. you cannot mulch with this...it is collect only, but the grass box is easy to empty; 2. the batteries were flat when I had cut about 180 square yards, but this should cover most lawns. In addition it doesn't stripe your lawn even though it has a roller, as this is too light. In summary I would recommend this for small and medium sized lawns. It is very easy to use and gives a good cut.
