About this product
The Hoover HOCT3L517EBK Fridge Freezer is a solid all-rounder if you want decent fridge and freezer space without taking up half the kitchen. It's a bottom-freezer setup with 151l for fresh food and 101l for frozen, totalling 252l, enough for a family's weekly groceries plus extra. The Super Cool function drops the temperature quickly after loading groceries to keep food fresh. The electronic display lets you adjust the temperature by the degree, removing guesswork.
It's got Low Frost tech to keep ice build-up to a minimum, so you won't be defrosting every few weeks. There are 3 adjustable glass shelves in the fridge, internal lighting so you can see what's in there, and the integrated handle makes it easy to grab and open. The door's reversible if that helps with your kitchen layout. It's rated E for energy efficiency, runs at about 39dB, and measures H176 x W54.5 x D55cm. Comes with a 10-year parts guarantee, and for the space and features, it offers a good balance.

Fridge damage
Fridge got delivered. Must of been dropped or bashed in transit. Waa left, wife didnt see the damage at first , offered £40 off for a £360 fridge. No way not helpful enough. Ordered a new one through Currys

It does it's job.
I bought this fridge/freezer in a hurry last week, because our last one was faulty, and this item fits in the gap. Not too impressed by it, because the door is easily left open a bit, even though there is an alarm when the door left open wide, which is useful. There is no temperature settings, so you cannot adjust the temperature according to the outside conditions, which would be very useful in the regular heat waves. It does have a temperature gauge inside the fridge, but no way of adjusting the temperature. The space on the door isn't well used; only 2 shelves instead of 3 on the old fridge/freezer. No special space for eggs in the fridge; the ice cube dispenser for the freezer is small. The salad shelf is a good size, but that leaves less space for other items. It's not noisy, but it gives the impression of a cheap, light weight product which won't last long but it does it's job for now. The instructions for setting up the fridge/freezer, weren't very user-friendly or even useful. Every warning was in the booklet, but no basic common sense instructions so you could install the fridge/freezer in a hurry, which is what most people want. Should have done more research and not bought on a panic.

The fridge is not big and is quite noisy. There is no setting to change the degrees or level of cold in the fridge.. the fridge feels quite light aswell..

Looks smart and large storage space inside
The fridge and freezer itself work fine and it looks smart in my kitchen. However, the noise is driving me insane! It’s constantly whirling and I can hear it when sat in other rooms. Very disappointed as my old freezer that was over 15 years old didn’t make half the noise this one does!
