About this product
The Roberts Revival Petite 2 is a DAB, DAB and FM radio that's designed for those moments when you want your favourite station close at hand, whether you're pottering in the kitchen, reading in the living room, or taking it along to the garden. With 20 preset stations, you can store everything from Radio 4 to your local station and switch between them without fiddling through menus. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers up to 20 hours of portable playback, so you can carry it room to room or outside for a weekend of listening without worrying about the cord or running out of power.
Bluetooth lets you stream playlists and podcasts from your mobile when you want more than live radio, and the headphone socket lets you listen privately. The alarm with sleep timer makes it a handy bedside companion that wakes you gently and lets you drift off to your favourite show. RDS scrolling text shows station and programme info on digital radio, while auto tune and auto scan simplify setup. At 12.4 x 8.5 x 7.3cm, it fits on a shelf or worktop without taking over. Compact, Portable and not restricted to WiFi/Data
I've not had a stand-alone radio for decades but with the cost of steaming services going up, up, up and not having WiFi at the bottom of the garden, i thought i'd give it another go with something not chained to a WiFi router or expensive mobile Data connection. The stations i've got into on my smart speaker are only on DAB+ and i checked on the web i could receive them where i am before buying, its easy to do and am delighted i'm able to get those and way more besides simply by setting the radio to scan, just like tuning in a TV. I was worried a Roberts was over the top for a first DAB but this little thing brings so much capability in such a small package - height and depth are about the width of the top of a standard pub pint glass (if you laid it on its side), and at only 12 cm wide its shorter than a small 15cm ruler, so really small and portable! The 20 hour usb rechargeable battery inside it is nothing short of mighty, charging while plugged in/running off mains, it makes it something you just grab and move around the house while doing stuff. Sound is loud enough with more to spare but won't blow the doors off, and is well balanced for all music types but there is no graphic equaliser to change it to your taste. Really nice clear vocals and voices - there is bass with a passive radiator in the back but as said its balanced so it shares the soundspace rather than dominates it - if you like it to be heavy forward you won't be able to make this do that, but for the size, build quality and battery really make up for not being able to tweak the profile. The only things that could improve it are bluetooth headphone comparability, but the 3.5mm jack means if i'm at my desk my wired 'phones are getting lots of use too, and an EQ would be nice so i can push some more power into the bass or lower the treble a touch to how i like it.

Lovely little radio
Have used this for a few weeks now everyday and think it's great. Very functional, good volume and signal and ofcourse stylish. One thing to note, I was pleasantly surprised about the size when I opened, knowing it was compact but it is really quite small which is a plus! Lovely colour too, would recommend.

Good sound, Love the Aesthetic
Thought I would get one of these for my home. Good quality sound, really easy to use, easy to charge, and love the aesthetic. I've only been using it for the last 3 weeks or so so cant speak to the long term experience.

Beautiful Design and Epic Sound
I bought this as a gift for my wife as she's wanted one for a while and we both love it. It's just the right balance of retro and modern and the sound that comes from it is ridiculously good given the size of it. My wife uses it as a bedside clock radio but the added portability is really helpful. Tempted to get one for my bedside too!

Not for elderly at all
Do not buy for anyone with below average eyesight or the elderly. Bought for my Dad in hospital but found very hard to use. Very tricky to access preset channels and small buttons. Argos wouldn’t let me return it as it had been opened. An expensive mistake.

Great design looks better than it is
I bought this lovely little radio a few weeks ago. I did read the reviews which said it was intermittent,Which it is. The radio has a limited amount of stations it can pick up the signal for. It's a lovely colour and design. Really small and compact. I have to be honest and say I am a bit disappointed with the connectivity.

Poor Sound Quality
Bought this and took it straight back. Terrible sound quality - crackles only at half of maximum volume. I was expecting better from Roberts!
