Yes this pillow have a very strong earthly farm smell, it stinks. Im airing the pillows for two days since I bought them, still strong smell, not something you want to deal with new pillows. I would not buy again if you have a sensitive nose.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Silentnight Duck Feather Medium/ Soft Pillow - 2 Pack: No there is not any plastic inside the pillows, the noise maybe from the new starchy cotton cover.

I can confirm that all our Feather products are ethically sourced products, it is a by-product of the food industry and there is no live plucking involved. We ensure all our suppliers follow these stringent guidelines, these are UK Regulations and as a UK company we follow these guidelines.

It is a known thing that feather stuffed pillows can experience this as the quill of the feather can work through the outer material and with the fact that the vane (the feathery part) will collapse down to fit through the same hole made by the quill.
