A WINNER!
Being a big fan of Spear and Jackson I saw this pressure washer on special and after reading reviews on this model, and then on other brands in the same price range I decided to give it a go. It has easily matched the performance of the "yellow one ". Blasting off 2 years worth of algae and moss from the pathway was a doddle.The attachment storage on the machine is great. The built on hose reel also makes an easy job of packing up. One issue I do have is that the hose tends to curl when you're working, but with the advantage of the length of the hose you get with this machine, it is not a train smash. The smart wand is just that, SMART! No worrying about am I going to blast the fence to pieces or strip the paint off my car. I give this machine the thumbs up all day long!

A backward step from previous model to save £
I owned the previous model, which saw heavy use. The pressure washer itself is still going strong, but the wand thread wore out from frequent use. I hoped the new model would be an improvement, but instead, it’s a massive downgrade. The only “upgrade” is a digital wand to adjust pressure - which isn’t really an improvement, just another gimmick that needs batteries instead of a simple mechanical dial. The hose is about half the length of the old one, and the power cable is shorter too, so the plug keeps getting tugged out as I stretch it across my driveway. It’s very lightweight, tipping over easily, which disconnects the hose and sends water everywhere. The smaller wheels struggle on anything but smooth surfaces. The power cable just drapes over a hook rather than being neatly wrapped, and the wand holster has been replaced by a clip that looks like it could snap any day. All these features were stronger and far more practical on the previous model. In short: more expensive, less useful… like a shrinking, pricier Mars bar! The motor itself is fine and provides decent pressure, but it’s only really practical for small gardens or light use. I’ll be flogging mine and seeing if I can get the wand on my old one re-threaded.

Happy that we bought this pressure washer. We also got an outside storage box to keep it in. It’s lockable, so safe to keep it in.

The manual states (page 7-8) ''If using detergents with the high pressure, make sure the detergents is recommended by the
manufacturer. The use of other detergents or chemicals may compromise the safety of the appliance. The improper use of detergents can cause severe injuries or toxication. Store detergents away from the reach of children.''
