Great Extra Storage Device for my PS5
Great for extra storage for my PS5. The fact that the colour matches the PS5, with a nice blue light, is an added bonus. Not the biggest extra memory out there but definitely enough for me.

Bought this for my son who has said that it wasn’t easy to connect to his PS5 and although is good storage he can’t seem to play direct from this drive!

For a hard drive, firmware is a program that governs the behavior and factory settings, even the identity, of that drive. Any drive that comes out of the factory and is in use in a computer or server has firmware installed on it from the factory. You can check for updates via the 'download centre' on the Seagate website.

From the information we have available, I can advise the Seagate 2TB Game Drive for PS4 & PS5 can be used on both a PS5 and an Xbox Series S. For the PS5, it can store PS5 games and play PS4 games directly from the drive. However, to play PS5 games, you’ll need to transfer them back to the internal storage.
For the Xbox Series S, the drive will need to be reformatted, but it can be used to store and play Xbox One games directly from the drive.

This Seagate 2TB Game Drive For PS4 & PS5 does not support direct play from the drive on PS5 - you would need to transfer your chosen game to the console when ready to play.

No, only ps4 games can be played from it but you can transfer ps5 games back and forth.
