Lovely compact basic tub with one speed of bubbles
Great hot tub for 2-3 people. Sizing is a bit out - the tub is 170cm, not 180 (or 196 claimed by Argos in the FAQs) - maybe that includes the pipes/handles. But I think most people are asking the diameter of the tub itself so the listing could be made more accurate. Perhaps even be checked by a human instead of using AI to write it. The cable is at least 6 metres (not 2m as stated by Argos staff in the FAQs). Our tub is about 1.5 metres from the house and we plug it in through our catflap to electric socket in far corner of kicthen which is 220 wide and there is plenty of cable to spare! Couple of things I regret not researching - this tub only has one strength of bubbles - they are nice and strong but very noisy and you cant really chat in that without shouting so all the neighbours hear. An option for lower strength bubbles would be very good. Also, the floor is just the thin liner so you are literally sitting on the ground, It's not uncomfortable as such but it would be nice if the base itself was thicker. The lid retains heat well but I dont hugely like the way it sits on top of the water once in place. I'm sure that is deliberate for heat retention but you lose water every time you take the lid off as it sloshes out, and you have to constantly keep dust and dirt off the inside of the lid as everything is going straight into your water when you cover it up. Even fully inflated the lid is "flopsy" so a bit difficult to stand it up somewhere out of the way! Im sure the cat will puncture the co lid soon when she launches herself from the fence, thinking it is a firm surface. The lid doesn't look as durable as the outside of the tub and it only comes with one repair patch. Other than that it is great and we enjoy it cool during the day at 32-33 degrees or warmer in the evenings at 36-37. At 30% off, and with a well-behaved cat, it's a good bargain!
