SD Card is Not Essential: You do not need to insert an SD card if you only want to check in live or receive alerts.
Live View & Alerts: Without an SD card, you can still:
Watch live footage remotely via the app.
Receive motion detection alerts directly to your phone.
The SD card is only required if you wish to record and store video footage. For simply monitoring your dog while you’re out, it’s completely optional.

If you enable 24/7 recordings on the camera, you can go back to the chosen time period to watch the recordings. But you cannot move the camera around as the camera only records within its viewing angle.
