Great for Keeping an Eye on an Aged P
I bought four of these to keep an eye on and elderley father who refuses 24 hour care. Installation was easy, although I recommend filing down / cutting of the triangular bumps on the base that locks the camera in place a little too agressively. The only downside is the documentation especially yhe specification that doesn't explain the Field of View (How many degrees either side and above/below the viewing axis are in the picture) or the Pan and Tilt range very well. Asa consequence I mounted one camera on top of a book case, which was a mistake because I cant see all the floor. Picture quality is great, and the IR LED in the dark gives a perfectly acceptable B&W picture. Setting the cameras up via the app was a breeze, and even better when I found the setting for the ceiling mounted camera! I don't use the tracking function, and disable detection because I got no end of messages, as you would expect for my application.

I am really pleased with these camera's. We have bought them so that we can keep an eye on our cats whilst we are away. The cameras give a really clear picture & you can also speak through them. I did make the mistake of putting them in 'away' mode but forgot that when the person feeding our cats came in it would set the alarm off, which is like a burglar alarm, very loud! All in all, I would thoroughly recommend them as they are such a reasonable price for 2.

The answer is actually both — these two things work together:
• Power: The Tapo C200 is powered by a 9V DC power adapter that plugs into a standard wall socket (it supports 100–240V, 50/60 Hz input). A 3-metre power cord is included in the box, so it does need to remain plugged in at all times to operate.
• Connectivity & Control: The camera connects to your home network and is controlled entirely via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.11b/g/n). There is no Ethernet port on the C200. Once connected, you can view and manage the camera remotely through the Tapo app on your smartphone (iOS 13.0 or higher, or Android 7.0 or higher). It also supports voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

It can be installed on a ceiling. Tapo cameras support the Invert Image feature. If the video appears upside down in the Tapo app, please go to device settings > Video & Display and toggle the Invert Image option to rotate the image 180°.

I can confirm yes, it deletes older footage by continuously overwriting the oldest files with new recordings (known as loop recording).
However you will need to ensure this setting is enabled first.
