I can advise that the Humax box connects to your aerial and other devices and records directly. You may connect it to the TCL 50 Inch 50PF650K Smart 4K UHD HDR LED Freely TV via the HDMI port, but all controls for using the Humax box would be via it's dedicated remote control.
