Great upgrade from my old Kindle
My six year old Kindle battery finally started to die so I thought it was time for an upgrade. Lovely screen. The colour part of it is what it is, I wasn't much interested in that bit but it's nice to have. Brightness is great without being harsh and then there's the warmth setting to reduce blue light. Font is clear with no harsh contrast. Nice to hold in the hand. I was concerned that there's no page turn buttons. You swipe back/forth or trap the edge of the screen. This works fine for me. I don't miss the buttons. I got it on offer so it's a good value too.

Enjoying so far
I’ve been using this for a few weeks now, thought I’s splurge on the Coloursoft over the Paperwhite after consideration as it was on a good deal. I am enjoying it, the battery lasts a long time but definitely drops faster when on wifi and higher brightness. The book covers being in colour is a nice touch, but they’re not highly defined, a bit blurred and soft. I like it, but would not buy Coloursoft full price, can see perks of the Paperwhite or basic. And have heard the words on Paperwhite are more crisp which is believable as this can sometimes be slightly grainy, but I do not mind.

Great but pricy!
Absolutely love the Kindle Colorsoft. The colour display makes a huge difference—great for covers, comics, and highlighting without losing that classic Kindle reading feel. The screen is easy on the eyes, battery life is excellent, and it’s fast and responsive. Feels like a proper upgrade from older models and perfect for everyday reading. It’s a bit expensive though!

I got this for my mum in law she loves it the brightness is perfect for both day and night reading. She loves that all her books can now be in one place without the need of storage space. The waterproof feature has been a god send shes already spilt water on it by accident still works perfectly. The battery lasts days which she loves. The ability to change the contrast is great for her to, definitely a great buy for her she hasn't put it down gives her something to do that she enjoys on the days her mobility isn't good Thank you argos

I believe the difference on 2024 vs 2025 is that the signature edition released in 2024 has a number of features excluded from the more accessible 2025 version. Wireless charging, ambient sensor removed and 32gd down to 16gb if I recall.
This is obviously what I stumbled across in my limited research prior to purchasing this version, so please take as informative but may not be 100 percent correct.
